The Founder Story

Hi! I'm Coach Skip Tan!

Skip Tan is a multi-athlete, multi-sport coach, and functional movement specialist with a deep-rooted passion for sports, performance, and active living.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sports Science and a Diploma in Sports Studies from the University of the Philippines – College of Human Kinetics, where his foundation in human movement, performance, and athletic development began.

Skip started playing tennis at Grade 2 and later became part of the UP Diliman Tennis Varsity Team and the San Beda College Tennis Team. He also represented the UP Golf Team, competing in various intercollegiate tournaments—further shaping his multi-sport approach to training and competition.

He spent seven years in Sydney, Australia, pursuing a Master’s degree in Business. During this time, Skip observed the strong culture of physical wellness in Australia—where weekly sports, movement, and active lifestyles are part of everyday life. This experience sparked a simple but powerful question: Why can’t we build the same culture in the Philippines?

Today, Skip is an internationally certified Pickleball Coach from the US Pickleball Registry, a Community Golf Instructor accredited by PGA Australia, and is currently pursuing international coaching accreditation for tennis.

Through SKP Sports, Skip’s vision is clear:
to help Filipinos become more physically active—one day, one session, and one movement at a time.

Be part of the SKP Movement.
